It’s important not to rest in poor posture positions because poor posture can lead to several adverse health consequences over time. Sitting or standing in poor posture can put unnecessary strain on your muscles, joints, and ligaments, leading to pain, stiffness, and fatigue. Poor posture can also contribute to poor circulation, respiratory problems, and even digestion issues. In addition, poor posture can lead to poor alignment and mechanics during physical activities such as walking & running, which can increase the risk of injury and setbacks.

On average, people spend a significant amount of time resting in poor posture, whether sitting at a desk, driving a car, or watching TV. Many people spend most of their day in sedentary positions, contributing to poor posture and overall poor health.

It’s essential to be aware of your posture during rest and maintain good posture as much as possible. This may involve using ergonomic furniture, taking breaks to stretch and move around, and being mindful of your posture throughout the day. By improving your posture during rest, you can help improve your overall health and movement quality.
